Latent Path is a web-based tool and, to make best use of it, you’ll be inputting data. We want to let you know that your data is very important to us and we take its safekeeping very seriously.

Details we hold
When you agree to use Latent Path, we’ll need to hold some basic details about your training organisation. We need those to be able to set up an account for you and for billing purposes.

Once set up you’ll be inputting clients, programmes, learners and resources. All this data is specific to your account only.

When you get in touch with queries or we contact you to assist, we’ll store those conversations securely so we have an audit of those communications. These are only visible to the Latent Path support team. This helps us refer back to them if need be; your insight will be what leads the development of Latent Path in the future.

We use logs to gather information about activity within Latent Path. We hold no personal data in those logs, it merely tells us what actions were taken and stores any errors found. We use this data to help identify any issues and to help define improvements to Latent Path.

Like many websites and web-based applications, we store statistical information around usage of Latent Path. This simply tracks clicks and actions and the data is not linked to user details. We use this information to help improve Latent Path and allows us to tailor our marketing of its features.

Accessing your data
We’ll ensure that no one can access your inputted data except you. So that’s all your clients, programmes, learners and resources – anything you input. We’ll (the Latent Path team) only ever access your account to help resolve an issue or address a query.

Your account is only accessed via your username and password combination. Be sure to keep those details safe and let us know if you think those details have been compromised.

We will never voluntarily pass on your personal details to 3rd parties and we’ll never use your details on our own marketing materials without your permission.

The only times we might have to share your info would be when we are legally obliged to share such information in any form of criminal investigation around your activity.

Data security
All data is encrypted by SSL when submitted to and from our servers. This is the same security used when checking out of an online shop. Data is securely and regularly backed up, we take extra care to ensure it’s safe and the chance of loss is minimised.

Removal of data
Should you cancel your account with Latent Path, we’ll downgrade your account to “read only” and keep data there for 12 months. After that time, we will have the right to remove this data permanently.

Should you wish to delete your data at any time before this point, you are welcome to contact us and we will arrange this for you.

Changes to our Privacy Policy
Latent Path is an evolving tool and we may well update our terms or privacy policies from time to time. We’ll always alert active users of any such changes.

If Latent Path is ever acquired or merged with another company (which we don’t ever plan on doing), we’ll notify you about this well in advance and ensure you are aware of any changes to the terms or privacy policy caused by this acquisition or merger.
